Amazon: Product not in compliance with the Fur Products Labeling Act

Posted by Bradley Schultz on

Oh the joys of working with "politically correct" companies. You can't make this stuff up! I got an email this morning from Amazon:

Amazon:

"Hello from Amazon.

We are writing to let you know that the following detail pages have been removed from our catalog:

ASIN: B00A82FYU6, SKU: DHBOMBER, Title: "duck commander winter trooper style cap"

This product has been identified as one that is not in compliance with the Fur Products Labeling Act. For additional information, please see our Listing Restrictions That Require Statements or Disclosures page.

We appreciate your cooperation and thank you for selling on Amazon.com.

Amazon Services"

I was not in a good mood this morning so my response was a little rude, I'll admit that, but I figured someone needed to point out the error.

My Response

"Fur Products Labeling Act huh? See Photo of materials label.

DC Bomber Hat

Please let me know what part of 40% Polyester and 60% Acrylic is in violation of the Fur Products Labeling Act.

Relist my item.

Thanks,

Brad"

I am awaiting a reply from them.

Get your very own, fur free, bomber hat at Double Reed Outdoors because Amazon apparently doesn't want the comissions.
